IALL is affiliated with the Missouri Valley Adult Education Association (MVAEA) and the American Association for Adult and Continuting Education (AAACE).

IALL is committed to professional development and support of a diverse membership which is, in turn, devoted to providing and promoting lifelong opportunities in Iowa.

Almost 30 years strong, IALL merged two professional organizations - the Iowa Association for Adult Education and the Iowa Association for Public Continuing and Adult Education in 1974.

IALL membership offers affiliation with the only broadbased association of lifelong learning professionals and organizations in Iowa and provides connections with a diverse network of organizations and individuals.
